Flower Care Tips

1. Use only clean vases that you would eat or drink from.

2. Water your flowers upon arrival and then daily.

3. Never use water that has been softened (The salt content decreases flower life)

4. Pull out shorter lived flowers like tulips, iris and daffodils to enjoy the longer lived flowers.

5. Remove all foliage below the water line.

6. Always use floral preservative solution when replenishing water. If you need a complimentary packet of flower preservative please contact service@taraflorist.com or stop into or store.

7. Keep flowers in cool location out of direct sunlight or under spotlights.

8. Keep away from drafty locations like vents or door ways.

9. If transporting outside use good discretion on the temperature. Always keep flowers wrapped in winter and beware of leaving in a parked car in sunlight (greenhouse effect) or when freezing.

10. Use care if storing in a home refrigerator. Some locations inside a refrigerator may actually approach freezing and the problem of low humidity is always present (your flower blossoms will dry out).

Re-cut stem under water (take off 1 inch) place in fresh preservative based water solution to revive.
